Intel will be unveiling its next generation Ivy Bridge processors this April with a release date set for early June. The i7 and i5 cores will be the first to get unleashed, according to component suppliers, with the i3 coming later in August.

But that’s not all from Intel in the future as the famed Haswell-based processors should be landing as soon as March 2013. Once this launches it should give Windows 8 – which will have been out for a while and be stable – a good boost of power.

The Ivy Bridge processors will mean better power performance for the next generation of ultrabooks as well as better battery life. We can’t wait – check back for updates as they break.
