If the iPad lost "a few pounds here and there" it would weigh a negative amount which I think might be beyond even Jonny Ive!!

Agreed it's nice and light already but Apple are more than up to the challenge of shaving off a bit more weight. I don't think anyone would complain if it was lighter, it's not exactly a feather-weight!
