Xbox LIVE adds 4OD and Demand Five to on-demand line up

Now that Xbox LIVE members have been treated to a dazzling new dashboard, Microsoft has decided to roll out a new bunch of video apps – 4OD and Demand Five – in a bid to bolster the Xbox LIVE on-demand experience and continue to transform the PS3 rival a one stop entertainment device.
Arriving hot on the heels of LOVEFiLM, YouTube and a smattering of other video apps, the latest on-demand portals means Xbox LIVE users can enjoy the likes of the The Gadget Show and Extreme Fishing with Robson Green via Demand Five and a whole host of Channel 4 content, like the Big Bang Theory, via the 4OD portal.
Xbox LIVE users have more to look forward to in the new year with the BBC iPlayer's hotly-anticipated arrival in early 2012. And with Blinkbox, VEVO, BBC, Crackle by Sony, MSN video and loads more, the Xbox's TV-in-a-console capabilities are at an all time high – and more importantly, users certainly won't be short of entertaining content.

Microsoft seem to be adding a lot of new features to the 360 - but they are late in the day, Sony has had this wrapped up for ages and you don't need a premium account to use any of the Sony additions.
I installed the latest OS update to my 360 and tried to log in to my lovefilm account - only available to 360 Gold members was the message that greeted me.
Its no wonder the BBC have issues with i-player going on the 360 and this is making my PS3 the more attractive of my 3 current Gens,it may seem like quiet waters in the Sony camp but this is due to them having it would seem most things already wrapped up,and I hasten to add in many cases for free. I think Micro$oft do need to step back and think about the business model a little more and encourage people to choose their machine over the rivals. We may see a day when more companies enter the console market - apple?? and although you are top dog at the moment it doesn't always stay like that - just ask Commodore,Sinclair,Amstrad,Acorn etc.

You should include Sony in that list, not going bankrupt anytime soon but definitely not top dog anymore.
