Panasonic Lumix GF3 is world’s smallest

13 Jun 2011

Panasonic has revealed the Lumix GF3, just six months after the retro-looking DMC-GF2 release – and this one’s far from retro as the world’s smallest Micro Four Thirds snapper (it's a little taller than the Sony NEX-C3, but thinner and shorter). Now that’s progress. Add a 12.1MP sensor, Venus FHD processor and a huge 16% reduction in size and you have a killer snapper that even manages 1080i HD video at 25fps.

You can get one later this month for about £500 with a 14-42mm F/3.5-5.6 zoom lens, or £550 with a 14mm F/2.5 pancake lens (or both for £630) – but if you have any Olympus or Panasonic lenses kicking about this’ll take those too.
