Bioshock Infinite release date announced

Irrational Games' sequel to Bioshock 2 brings steampunk to the skies from October 19

Bioshock Infinite, the sequel to Bioshock 2, will be released on October 16 in the US, with fans of the steampunk game franchise in Europe having to wait an agonising three days longer. Sadly for those in the old empire, Bioshock Infinite will launch on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Windows PC on October 19. Still, at least they’ll be able to get their hands on a Bioshock Infinite walkthrough, eh?

Irrational Games promises Bioshock Infinite will have “dozens of new weapons and abilities” with indoor and cloud-based combat. We’re just warming up a controller for our review nearer the time.
