Apple App Store hikes prices

Apple looks as if it has put up its app prices – at least for the lowest paid apps and games on the App Store. The bargain apps are now listed as 69p, up from 59p, and there's rumours that we can thank US dollar exchange rates for the news. Recombu also noticed that a £3.99 Gameloft game BackStab is now £4.99.
OK, it's only 10p for the cheapest apps but when you're up to a 20 a day habit like us, it can add up. Let's hope that Apple distracts us with some MacBook Air flavoured announcements later on today.

Yeah because they must really be struggling at that 59p price point. What with only 15 billion downloads and counting!
Like the exchange rate affects their overheads by anything in real terms.
