Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600

We all want a cosy home, but heating systems can often feel like you’re using ancient technology. Smart thermostats, which connect to digital voice assistants, phone apps, and other smart home staples, can help bring your domestic heating into the 21st century, and Aqara’s Radiator Thermostat W600 can help you to save energy without compromising on comfort.

Radiators with smart thermostats are only active when they’re needed. You can whip up your own schedule with up to seven time slots each day. Plus, there are five modes to heat each room individually or keep the temperature just right based on who’s around or what you are doing. The Open Window Detection feature will hold off on heating when the temperature drops super fast thanks to a window being left ajar.

The Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 is highly versatile, supporting both the Thread and Zigbee home automation protocols, so you can easily switch between them if you decide to update your hub one day. The default Thread mode is a breeze to use because it’s already compatible with Matter, making it easy to integrate with platforms like Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant and SmartThings.

If you’re using an Aqara Zigbee hub, such as the M3, the Zigbee mode unlocks advanced and exclusive features such as local processing for automation, meaning you won’t be caught out by an internet outage. You can even group multiple radiators together within a room for synchronised temperature control and quicker adjustments.

Want to get super precise with your temperature? The Thermostat W600 lets you tweak it in tiny increments of ±0.5°C. Plus, it automatically adjusts the temperature based on an Aqara sensor, which is usually closer to the radiator and can give you a better idea of the actual room temperature. You can also calibrate the built-in sensor (within ±5°C) for even more accuracy.

Easy comfort

You can easily set the temperature using mobile apps, virtual assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant/Gemini, or Siri, or other connected Aqara devices like the Climate Sensor W100*. And you can even group multiple radiators in a room for synchronised temperature control. With an extended battery life of up to two years, the W600 is an eco-friendly solution that reduces the hassle of frequent battery replacements during the cold season. If it’s getting too chilly, however, the thermostat will activate automatic frost protection to stave off the risk of pipes freezing.

The Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 is compatible with home radiators with a standard M30x1.5mm valve, but comes with adapters for other common specifications. It can work in conjunction with Aqara’s temperature and humidity sensors, providing extra feedback to improve the efficiency of your heating system, and comes with a child lock feature that disables temperature adjustment in case the thermostat is the target of curious young minds.

It comes with a 180° flippable display, so temperature readings can be read from any angle, and is ultra-quiet too, operating below 30dB – no more than a whisper – to ensure restful sleep even when it is running all night.

Automating your heating with the Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 enhances energy efficiency and can see your heating bills tumble. With easy app control, voice commands via digital assistants, and seamless integration into existing smart home ecosystems, including Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant and SmartThings, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it.
