Leaked Panasonic GX7 specs reveal one seriously high-end snapper

60fps, 1080p video recording, 25,600 ISO and 16 megapixels make up the alleged Panasonic GX7 feature list. Crikey

If leaked specs of the new GX7 CSC (Compact System Camera) are correct, the Panasonic snapper is going to match the previously leaked, range-topping GH-3 digital SLR.

Japanese website Digicame Info released images and specs that reveal the GX-7 will have a 16-megapixel sensor, 2.76 million dot EVF that includes 90-degree tilt adjustability, up to 1/8000th of a second shutter speed, image stabilisation within the body and a maximum ISO of 25,600.

The GX-7 also reportedly packs focus peaking, silent mode, Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, presumably for sharing images and video without a USB cable, full HD video capture at 60fps (in case you feel a Spielberg moment coming on) and an 80-degree tiltable LCD (like that found on the Sony Nex series) for making it easy to line your shots up, no matter the angle.

While the price is yet to be confirmed, reports suggest around €1000 (about £865) for the GX-7 body on its own. Yes, at this level of photography the lenses will cost you more. A lot more.

For a high-end, stylish compact that makes a DSLR seem fat and complicated to use, it looks like the Panasonic DMC-GX7 will serve you well.
