HTC One (M9) could have a 5.2in 2K screen, Snapdragon 805 innards and 128GB of storage

And it might make its debut at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

Specs for the successor to the gorgeous HTC One (M8) appear to have escaped the rumour mill, and if true, the Taiwanese mobile giant’s next flagship will have Android fans drooling.

According to IB Times, the HTC One (M9) will feature a 5.2in 2560 x 1440 screen, with an impressive 564 pixels per inch, joining the likes of the LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the 2K screen club.

Naturally, it’ll arrive running Android 5.0 Lollipop, which should run blazing fast, thanks to powerful quad-core Snapdragon 805 insides and 3GB of RAM – matching the specs of the mighty Note 4.

64GB and 128GB storage options are also on the cards, along with a waterproof body and a higher resolution camera and a larger battery.

All-in-all, these rumoured specs tick all the right boxes. Coupled with HTC’s history of premium solid metal design, the M9 is shaping up to be a very desirable handset. Assuming the rumours are true of course.

It’s expected to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February, in Barcelona next year, so stay tuned.
