My favourite music streamer has never been cheaper than it is for Black Friday

Looking for an easy way to upgrade your at-home listening experience in time for the Holidays? You can’t beat a one-box wireless streaming speaker for convenience, and one of the best has just seen a hefty Black Friday discount. Originally retailing for £1299, Cambridge has slashed off 23%, bringing it down to £999 for the first time.

The Cambridge Audio Evo One might be the English firm’s first attempt at an all-in-one system, but you wouldn’t know it. This wood-topped wonder manages to find room inside for a whopping 14 speakers, extensive physical connectivity (in case a turntable is still a vital part of your Hi-Fi setup) and enough streaming smarts to guarantee you never run out of things to listen to.

A detailed, full-colour screen up front proudly shows off album art, and can be set to display retro-inspired VU meters that mesmerically tick along to your tunes. Setup is wonderfully straightforward through the Cambridge StreamMagic app, but importantly sound quality is absolutely fantastic.

Buyers can expect a nuanced yet punchy delivery, with a smooth high-end and a warm mid-range that remain composed right the way up to the most extreme volumes. There’s ample amplification to fill entire rooms with sound. Little wonder it scooped Stuff’s wireless speaker of the year 2025 award, then.

While £999 is by no means cheap, but you’re getting a seriously capable system for your cash. It already undercut Cambridge’s own Evo 75 amplifier (which you then had to add speakers to) at full retail price, but now it’s the obvious choice over the very capable Ruark R410 one-box system.

Unfortunately for US bargain hunters there are currently no Black Friday discounts, meaning you’ll still pay $1499 to take one home. However, that could change closer to the day itself, which is less than two weeks away at the time of writing.
