Twin-cam Honor 7X does the 18:9 screen thing, for less

Skinny screen bezels that won't self-destruct your wallet

Bargain-tastic phone brand Honor is back with what’s shaping up to be another crazy good deal. The 7X launches in the UK today with a 5.93in, 18:9 aspect screen and incredibly skinny screen bezels – as well as a slightly-higher-than-Full HD resolution to boot. Exactly what you want from your mid-range phones in 2017.  It’s got the same 16MP+2MP deptth-sensing dual camera setup as January’s Honor 6X, but swaps out plastic for an aluminium frame (in Honor’s trademark blue colours, naturally). A Kirin 659 CPU is about as mid-range as it gets, but 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage (plus microSD card slot) sound like they should compete nicely with more expensive blowers. MicroUSB charging and no NFC are the few black marks, but with a remarkably wallet-friendly price the £269.99, this is the perfect pocket companion for anyone on a budget.
