PlayStation Vita on pre-order at Amazon

Form an orderly queue and stake your claim on the hottest thing in portable gaming

We’ve had both good and bad news about the PlayStation Vita today. The bad obviously being that the Vita may be Japan-bound way before we get our greasy mitts on it in the UK. The good? Sony’s portable handheld is available for pre-order from Amazon.co.uk and pegs 31st December as its delivery date, and not March 2012 which is the current touted release date.

Both the Wi-Fi + 3G and Wi-Fi only models are available as initially reported, priced at £280 and £230 respectively. As expected, the 3G model doesn’t list any network partners, but it goes without saying you’re going to need to cough up a little extra cash regardless of who it’s with.

If you need a reminder of its spec-list, we can tell you everything you need to know.
