Vodafone lets you test drive your data

Vodafone has launched a new pricing scheme, Data Test Drive, letting users trial their data plan before committing to a contract.

Sign up for a new Vodafone contract with any of their range of 20 smartphones and they'll give you an unlimited data allowance for a three-month trial period. At the end of the trial, you'll get a text telling you how much data you've used, and whether or not you're on the right price plan. If you've been devouring data, Vodafone will recommend you a more suitable plan.

With smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy SII and Apple's forthcoming iPhone 5 encouraging users to chew through their data allowances, Vodafone is clearly looking to win over new customers to its network.
