Just because they could – robotic action plant

Artist Ivan Henrique's robotic plant on wheels almost definitely doesn't need to exist, but then again, what art does?
Recently unveiled at Milan Design Week, the Robotic Action Plant is essentially a hacked wheelchair that reads the electromagnetic field of a mimos pudica plant, causing it to scarper away from any stimuli (read: curious art connoisseurs).
A custom circuit board forms the brains of the operation, while an on-board watering system ensures that the roaming foliage can survive independently once it's gained sentience and plots against its human overlords.
