OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion released today

Apple has announced in its Q3 earnings report that OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion will be released later on today.

Apple's latest OS update brings a host of new features to the table including Siri-like voice dictation and notifications (as outlined in our OS X Mountain Lion need to know guide).

Mac OS X Mountain Lion will hit the Mac App Store  later today at the wallet-friendly price of just £14, or free for users who have recently purchased Macs.

Although OS X Mountain Lion hasn't landed on the App Store quite yet, we'll be checking it regularly throughout the morning to keep you updated, so stay tuned and keep an eye out on Stuff's Twitter feed for the latest news
