Apple Store down in readiness for iPad 3

We don’t know if it’ll be called the iPad 3 or the iPad HD. We can’t say for certain it’ll have a hi-res Retina Display or that it’ll have a hotter processor than the iPad 2. But we do know that the Apple Store is down – and that means new stuff incoming.
The closure tallies with past Apple launches, and we’d expect the well-known Post-It note to disappear when Tim Cook announces Apple’s third tablet later this afternoon (check our Apple iPad 3 liveblog for live event coverage from 6pm GMT).
It’s just a few short hours until everything is revealed. Board the excitement bus – we could be in for quite a ride.
