It’s been almost a decade since Frank Miller’s acclaimed Sin City graphic novel got the big-screen treatment with Robert Rodriguez. Since Miller’s 300 sequel's also just hit theaters here, it’s pretty apt that another Frank Miller movie has been announced.
Titled Sin City: A Dame to Kill, the movie’s plot is based on the “Just another Saturday night”, a short story from the fifth Sin City book, Booze, Broads & Bullets. On top of that, the movie will also feature two stories that Miller wrote exclusively for the film.
Miller fans are definitely going to be happy. From the looks of the trailer, we can expect the same gritty, black-and-white film noir feel that the first movie and graphic novels exuded.
Fans can also expect to see Sin City alums Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, and Jessica Alba n the movie, and they'll be joined by a bunch of new faces such as Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, and Josh Brolin.
So keep your calendars free for the 22 August release date, and you just might be in for a sinful good time.
