Bryan Singer’s return to the X-Men movies is going to be epic. Just look at the latest trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past.
There's enough new footage to make any X-Men fanboy go into a frenzy. Sentinels pouncing on an unsuspecting Storm in the dystopian future. A bleak, dark time where both humans and mutants are no longer free. Frenemies Professor X and Magneto, both young and old, reconciling their differences to save the world. And best of all, more mutants, from Singer’s first two X-Men films and the X-Men: First Class prequel, making their appearance in this trailer.
But nothing is as chilling as seeing Bolivar Trask setting his eyes on mutants as humanity’s enemy, along with a back view of the very first Sentinel. Mental note to purge all impressions of Tyrion Lannister from this trailer.
X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released on 22 May. What we’d give to have a time machine and travel forward to watch it now.
