Vertu’s known for its exquisite, over the top finishings when it comes to its smartphones – okay, maybe not quite as OTT as Goldgenie or Amosu’s designs but they are pimped up when compared to the other smartphones you find in the market.
But now, there’s a smartphone from Vertu that tones down on what might seem like “overly gaugy” looks. Named pure Jet Red Gold, this new mobile device expands on the Signature Touch series.
However, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t sit alongside Vertu’s luxurious range – the Pure Jet Red Gold is still one for high stature and combines the latest in technology with exquisite materials and high-end design.
In what Vertu calls a “classier and cleaner style”, this smartphone has been made with only gold highlights instead of bedazzling it with precious stones. No compromises were made on its construction though – it’s mostly made of grade-five titanium, with black PVD-coated titanium for the back.
In the details..
In addition, it’s fitted with what Vertu claims is “fine-mill leather” from the Alpine region (apparently calves are more exclusive from here).
As for its innards, it’s similar to its other siblings – you’ll find the same 4.7in 1080p display, a Snapdragon 801 SoC chipset with a quad-core Krait 400 CPU, as well as 2GB of RAM. It also boasts a of sapphire crystal screen, which is durable even though it’s expensive.
If you’re after its price, it’ll set you back US$21,900 (S$29,723), but regardless of how expensive that might seem to most of you, we have to accept the fact that it’s what you need to pay for opulence.
