Oppo’s fairly new to the smartphone scene in Singapore, but that’s not stopping the Chinese electronics vendor from extending its presence. It’s put out a new teaser for its N1 Mini, which gives us a closer look at what we can expect from the smartphone.
Oppo Mobile India posted a picture of the device on its Facebook page, with a tagline “revolutionary 24MP ultra-HD camera, coming soon”, meaning that the budget smartphone must be banking on its snapper as one of its best features.
We think it’s a smart move for a cheaper end handset, considering we are living in the selfie loving era. But besides this one piece of information, it doesn’t give anything else away.
A preview of what's coming
By the way, if you’ve not yet heard about the N1 Mini, it’s a 5in, smaller brother of the 5.9in N1 smartphone, and it also boasts a lightweight body of 150g as well as 4G LTE connectivity.
The company made the smartphone official towards the end of May and initially claimed that it will be available sometime between end July and early August, but it looks like we’ll only get to see it towards the end of August or early September – unless it’s revealed in the next week or so.
As for pricing, Oppo’s indicated that it will retail for 2699 Yuan, which comes up to about S$544, a little more expensive than some of its other budget smartphone counterparts. But once more details of its specs are divulged, we might realise its worth for value.
