Uh-oh, Apple recalls Beats Pill XL speakers because of fire risk

If you own one of these, stop using it right now and go get a refund from Apple

There’s trouble in paradise. It turns out that the Beats Pill XL speakers are so hot, they might actually burst into flames.

Apple is carrying out a worldwide recall of the Beats speakers as they’ve determined that the battery in the speakers might overheat and pose a safety risk. And as it’s always better to be safe than sorry, the company is recalling all of them via this site only. So don't waste your time trying to get your electronic payment refund of S$430 anywhere else.

In their release, Apple was quick to subtly distance themselves from this less than perfect creation by stating that the Beats Pill XL was introduced by Beats by Dre in November 2013 while Apple only acquired Beats in 2014.

So stop, drop, and roll - over to this site to key in your details (including serial code of the speaker) and find out how to send it back to Apple.
