The iPhone 6 is what every other Android smartphone dreams to be. Or at least, that’s what it seems like their makers might be doing from the leaked images of some upcoming smartphones.
First, it was the unofficial ZTE Nubia Z9. Now, spy shots of an Oppo smartphone, currently codenamed Oppo R8207, have surfaced on the Chinese certification authority, TENAA. From these spy shots, we can’t help but be reminded of the looks of the iPhone 6.
It has what looks like the curved edges of the smartphone, a similar back snapper flushed to the back left of the unit (like the iPhone 6), as well as thin bezels on the display.
The unit might boast a 5in, TFT screen with a resolution of 720 x 1080 pixels within a 6.85mm thick body. As for its other specifications, it might come out of the box with a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a 13MP main camera with LED flash, and a 5MP front snapper.
No other information of the device, including its pricing and availability details (or at least when it’s expected to launch) have been disclosed by sources. As usual, take this with a pinch of salt until more details of the unit surface.
But if this is indeed something the Chinese vendor is working on, it might take off well with consumers if priced advantageously – even if it’s not a spec-packed mobile device.
