There's a bunch of events line-up for the coming week ranging from a book sale, a poetry showcase, an Instagram exhibition to a block party. 

MONDAY, JUN 13

POETRY

Destination: INK is having its fourth edition at the Blu Jaz Cafe, opening up the stage for people to showcase their original work, for a fee of $4 fee.

TUESDAY, JUN 14

BOOKS

Page One is having a major pop-up book sale at Great World City's atrium with up to 90 percent off on art, design, architecture, hobby and craft books and even a selection of bargain books. (Till Jun 14)

WEDNESDAY, JUN 15

EXHIBITION

The Asian Civilisations Museum is organizing another edition of Afterhours@ACM, with a tour of their new exhibition, Christianity in Asia: Sacred Art and Visual Splendour, followed by a tasting session of their selection of wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Tickets at peatix.

It’s your last day to catch the K+ Instgrm exhibition at Scotts Square (#03-14/15) hosted by Kinetic +, a curated space by Kinetic Singapore, showcasing 13 of Singapore’s top Instagrammers with work from Leslie Heng and Ng Wei JiangSean Ashley and Singapore director Royston Tan.  (Till Jun 15)

PARTY

Potato Head Folk at Keong Saik Road, is having their mid-week party, The Rooftop: TK DISCO, from 7pm till late, promising relaxed vibes with their music and 5-8pm drink specials such as their TK Disco Cocktail ($20++) or Bucket of 5 Beer ($50++).

Beerstyle is having their Anniversary Party at Draft and Craft, with drinks like bourbon, tripel and stone with even  free tastings of their new release of beers like their gingerbread stout and Christmas morning, tickets will be sold one a first-come-first-serve basis.

BUSINESS

Fancy yourself an entrepreneur? The Echelon Asia Summit  is taking place later this month, with a bevy of start-up types and CEOs of your favorite ventures speaking over two days plus special talks on the future of AI, robotics and lots more. (Jun 15-16)

Netflix is bringing the infamous Litchfield Penitentiary Cafeteria to OverEasy Liat Towers for the launch of Orange is the New Black's fourth season, a chance for you to walk a mile in the system through an inmate's stomach. It’s fully booked but they accept walk-ins on a first-come-first-serve basis so you can always try your luck. (Jun 16-17)

WELLNESS

Local community event platform Funzing Singapore is having a bounce fitness session at the Stadium Place at $14 per person.

DRINK

Beerfest Asia returns for its eighth edition, bringing you more than 500 beers and ciders from around the world both old and new. (Jun 16-19)

THEATRE

"Café", a play written by Joel Tan and directed by Chen Yingxuan is part of The Twenty-Something Theatre Festival 2016, which will be showcased at Goodman Arts Centre Black Box. (Jun 16 - 19)

FRIDAY, JUN 17

PARTY

Bring your summer vibes up to the world’s highest beach party in the sky with 1-Altitude’s rooftop party, Summertime Madness, so you can expect a line-up of local band AJS, DJs Leonard T, Jack T and Lindo Martinez and a whole lot of partying with sand and scenery.  

Gallery & Co. is having a Block Party, featuring artists from Darker Than Wax with deep house music by Daryl C and saxophone-player, Kaye/ They’re even serving Perrier-Jouët Champagne.

MUSIC

The Tropical Explosion and Vik Sohonie (Ostinato Records)’s Album Release Party will be held at Blu Jaz Cafe, promising a dancefloor of various types of music like Meringue, Kompa Kreyol, Vodou jazz, and electric folklore from Haiti by Tanbou Toujou Lou. 

ART

NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore is hosting The Geopolitical and the Biophysical: a structured conversation on Art and Southeast Asia in context, Part II that touches on issues concerning borders, territories, dilemmas and anxieties from 7 - 9pm.
