If you’re definitely getting an Apple Watch, even if it’s not available in your country yet, then nothing can or will dissuade you.
But if you’re still sitting on the fence, there’s a way to get you on board. Apps. Lots of them, by the looks of it.
Plus, it’s nearly a month before the smartwatch is launched. In that period, who knows how many more apps will be added to the roster?
Given the sheer number of apps that are available on the App Store, the list of apps, as you can see on Apple’s microsite, might seem puny.
But you’ll notice it has a good mix of apps that function very differently. Such as productivity apps like Evernote that’ll let you dictate a voice note. Or a quick glance at your Instagram feed without extracting the phone from your pocket or bag.
In short, these apps will become the most compelling reason for you to strap on Apple’s wearable tech. As of now, if your iPhone has been updated to iOS 8.2, you would have noticed the Apple Watch app, bidding its time and waiting to pair itself with the hardware.
This, in conjunction with the updated apps that will support Apple Watch, isn’t just Apple’s way of building the hype. Instead, it’s a very well-thought and pre-planned roadmap that promises you instant access to the full functionality of the Apple Watch once it’s strapped on, powered up and paired with your iPhone.
Absolutely great if you’re able to get it during launch day. A real bummer if you fail to place an order due to the overwhelming response. Or simply, because it won’t be available in your country on 24 April.
