You all must have seen or been a part of crazy queues for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus when it launched in Singapore. But Samsung too has its own following on our little red dot, which is evident from its Galaxy Note Edge 4G+ launch here.
Some of our local telcos, like SingTel and StarHub, have been busy with all the registration of interests coming through, while Samsung itself has been taking pre-orders at multiple of its experience stores.
Whichever the avenue, today marked the day where they could pick up their Samsung Galaxy Note Edge 4G+ units. Here are some of the first few customers who managed to collect their units today.
SingTel at Comcentre
Vera Amalia, 39, was one of the first to pick up her smartphone from this venue. She said she decided on buying the unit for its design, and previously owned a Galaxy Note 4 that she passed on to her husband to use.
“It’s more interesting than normal phones, especially with the edge screen. I’m using the Galaxy Note 3 now and I find the quality of the screen and speed to be much better,” she said.
Plaza Singapura StarHub
Leonard Ong, 36, was the first StarHub customer to get his Samsung Galaxy Note Edge 4G+. He claims it’s a “cutting edge device” with the edge screen.
“That alone is enough reason for me to want to get it,” he mentioned.
Samsung Store Paragon
Ken Smith, 45, nabbed his unit from the Samsung Store in Paragon. He said he was attracted to its edge screen and superior technology.
“Those are the two reasons that prompted me to get this phone. It’s more advanced than those available out there now,” he claimed.
Juli Angsani, 40, picked up her Samsung Galaxy Note Edge 4G+ from the M1 store in Paragon today morning as well, and her reason for wanting the unit is no different from anyone else – it’s edge-y screen.
“The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge 4G+ is different from the rest. I particularly like the edge screen design that also works for left-handers like myself,” she added.
