CES 2015 saw the launch of many new devices, and the Sony NW-ZX2 high-resolution Walkman was one of them. We’re not sure about the local rollout of some of the other gizmos, but this one’s due on our shores really soon.

As of today, Sony NW-ZX2 high-resolution Walkman is available in Singapore for pre-order, and you’ll be able to do so till February 8 at all Sony Stores and Sony Centres island wide. It will be priced at S$1599.

So what’s so different about pre-ordering yourselves one of these as compared to walking into a store and buying one? With every NW-ZX2 Walkman pre-ordered, you will be permitted to download 20 songs for free – and all of these will be of high-res audio quality.

If you don’t quite remember the specs of the device, we’ll refresh your memory. The NW-ZX2 boasts uniquely developed technologies like S-Master HX digital amplifier and DSEE HX to let you to enjoy and experience high-res audio – you have to hear it to believe it.

It has more than 33 hours of high-resolution playback time, so you can be sure to have top quality sound for about that long.

The NW-ZX2 Walkman is also able to support digital music files (up to 192 kHz/24 bit in different formats) in addition to possessing a large built-in memory of 128GB (expandable via a micro SD).

Sony’s also launched an exclusive pre-order purchase with purchase promotion, which will see a discounted price tag on some of its latest mobile audio products, such as the PHA-3, MDR-Z7 and XBA-A2.

But if you miss these pre-order offers, you’ll be able to get the NW-ZX2 High-Resolution Walkman from any of the Sony Stores and Sony Centres, as well as selected authorised outlets from February 13.
