The best thing about Netflix has to be the fact that there are entire seasons of shows available for us to gobble up at a go, instead of waiting for episodes to show up each week.
Netflix came up with something called the Binge Scale to break down the watching habits of Singaporeans, analysing over 100 TV series ever since the service went live here to put our obsessive viewing habits into perspective.
The range runs from Savour to Devour, with the former describing shows that were viewed less than 2 hours a day and the latter meaning more than 2 hours a day. And they found that Singaporeans have a massive appetite for heavier shows, preferring to devour shows like Narcos and Bloodline, which are savoured globally. This scale also gives you idea of what you should be watching, if you aren't already.
When it comes to finishing a TV series, the global average is 5 days. And of course, Singaporeans are on top of that, devouring shows in a matter of 3 days.
All these just tell us what we already know - Singaporeans are an efficient bunch, even when it comes to leisure activities.
