Whip out those credit cards or break those piggy banks if you’ve been saving up for the newly released iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 6 Plus – Apple’s just released its local pricing details for them. You can relax, it’s not going to cost you an arm and a leg more than its predecessor.
As you already know, the iPhone 6 will be available from 19 September here in Singapore in three colour options – gold, silver and space grey.
There’s also three models to choose from – 16GB, 64GB, and for the first time, a 128GB option and local pricing for them are S$988, S$1148, and S$1288 respectively; not as bad as you thought it’ll be right?
And the cost of the iPhone 6 Plus isn’t that much more. It will also be available in those three colour varieties on the same date, for a price of S$1148 for the 16GB model, S$1288 for the 64GB model, as well as S$1448 for the new 128GB model.
The fine (pricing) details
You can get them both from the Singapore Apple Online Store from 19 September, or start pre-orders from 12 September (yes, Singapore gets it too). In addition to that, the three major local telcos (M1, SingTel and StarHub), additional carriers, and Apple Authorised Resellers will carry the models.
The telcos will be releasing their pricing models for the two new iPhone models in the coming days, so watch out for them on Stuff.
As for the iPhone 5S, Apple’s not phasing it out. It will be available for S$848 for the 16GB model and S$918 for the 32GB model. If you’re after an iPhone 5C 8GB model, it will cost you S$588 outright.
What about the new cases?
And if you’ve taken a keen interest in the Apple-designed leather cases for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, you can get them in black, soft pink, olive brown, midnight blue and red for S$64 for iPhone 6 and S$68 for the iPhone 6 Plus.
If the silicone cases tickle your fancy, get them in black, blue, pink, green, white and red for S$48 (iPhone 6) and S$58 (iPhone 6 Plus).
Apple’s also announced that iOS8 will be available as a free software update from 17 September, so mark your calendars.
