The Singapore Apple store gets an official opening date and time

Mark the date on your calendars to meet Apple Orchard Road, iFans

Like an onion, the layers of the store are slowly being peeled away.

Previously, the facade outside the store was taken down to reveal the logo and Apple officially announced that it would be called Apple Orchard Road. Today, the company has announced on its website that the store will be opening on 27 May at 10am. Following its grand reveal, opening hours will be from 10am to 10pm, Mondays to Sundays. The Store is at 270 Orchard Road which is the Knightsbridge Mall just next to Paragon.

As with other Apple stores, you can expect Today at Apple sessions to educate and entertain users of their products. There's already something on the local calendar. The site reflects that there will be a performance by Sezairi Sezali, Singapore Idol 3 winner, on opening day at 5pm. Interested in learning how to take better photos? There's a photo walk with photographer Chia Aik Beng on the following day. Other how-to sessions pepper the rest of the calendar.

So get psyched, ready your wallet and head over on that day to see what the hype is all about. You'll probably walk away iEnlightened, if not with a new product or two.
