Shoulderpod's kit for smartphones have become popular among journalists thanks to the ease of adding external accessories such as microphones. The company has now added more accessories, including a new and improved handle.

The heart of the Shoulderpod system is its durable wooden handle grip that lets you securely hold your smartphone, easily adjustable to fit any model. To ensure your phone doesn't slip, it also comes with rubber pads and a thumbscrew for a tighter fit. Also of interest is the handle's univeral tripod 1/4 screw connection that lets you fit it to any standard tripod.

Also new is a cold shoe made to mount microphones as well as lights to Shoulderpod rigs, as well as a Shoulderpod wrist strap to keep you connected to your kit.

The grip handle is US$39.99 (S$55), while both the cold shoe and wrist strap are priced at US$13.99 (S$20).

Shoulderpod is owned by the Vitec group, who also own brands such as Joby, Lowerpro, Manfrotto, Lasolite and Gitzo.
