A see-through tablet for the masses

From a pretty media centre keyboard, it is now a full-fledged tablet

Sometime earlier this year, Grippity was announced as a media centre keyboard that is see through. Now the creators has revived the concept to be a full fledge transparent keyboard that is now available to be crowd funded through Kickstarter.

A different take on content consumption

Available from USD159 (if you are fast enough), the tablet is powered by Android, and has a 7 inch transparent touchscreen. The way that the tablet is held is how you would hold a Sony PS Vita - lengthwise. Its dual-sided touchscreen gives users a different take on using a tablet. The not-so-pretty looking grip is designed so as it will be comfortable in your hands.

The Grippity also features a infra-red remote control and thumbgrips to help in both controlling devices around the house, and manipulating content/media/games via the said thumbgrips.

Specs of the tablet includes a 800 x 480 pixel 7 inch screen, Android Jelly Bean 4.2 (with KitKat 4.4 in the pipeline), SD card slot, 4GB of internal storage, both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity – all in a handsome looking package.

Check out their Kickstarter page to find out more about the tablet.
