Sandisk’s 128GB microSD card comes to Singapore

It may not be the sexiest of gadgets but a high capacity microSD does bring a bit of excitement. Especially for smartphone storage-hoggers like us. Unveiled over at Barcelona during MWC 2014, this whopper of a microSD card is now available in Singapore.

Called the Ultra microSDXC, this card supposedly delivers twice the speed of ordinary microSD cards and will be especially a favourite for videotakers since it offers the highest video recording performance available.

Sandisk also launched a new version of their Memory Zone app that allows users to access, view and backup all their phone’s memory in one place. It’ll have a new feature called OptiMem that’ll automatically transfer their old photos and videos to the microSD.

Considering that most Android phones do come with microSD slot, it’s no surprise that the card is optimised for the platform. Too bad Apple users, you guys will still be stuck with your 64, 32 or 16GB set storage phones.

The Sandisk Ultra microSDXC is now available in Singapore at S$199.
