Sammy’s new tablet gets really light at only 7-inches and just WiFi

It’s about being slim and portable with Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite WiFi which has just arrived on Singapore shores.

“Lite” is a good term to describe this new slate because it isn’t just physically diminutive – it sports a slimmer and more portable design – but because it does come with  pretty “Lite” features and price as well.

It’s powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor with 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Don’t expect pretty snaps with the slate as its rear camera has only a basic 2-megapixel sensor.

It's pretty basic, but at S$198, you can’t really complain. There’s a bunch of separate accessories for it as well including a book cover (S$68), a 9000mAh battery pack (S$118) and a wired headset with remote (S$28).

Think this 7-incher is just a little too “lite” for you? There’s always Google’s excellent Nexus 7
