UPDATE 1/11/2017: To mark the upcoming festive season, Samsung is rolling out islandwide promotions for the Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8. Those who buy the Galaxy S8 or S8+ at a Samsung Experience Store or on a two-year contract at any telco will score a Samsung Wireless Charger Convertible in black worth S$118. Get a Note 8 and you'll be gifted AKG Y50BT On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones by Harman, worth S$249.90. All offers whilst stocks last.
If you felt that the Galaxy Note 8 and S8 colours were a bit too, shall we say, sedate for you, here's good news. Samsung just released two bolder new shades that should appeal to those who prefer their phones to pop.
The Galaxy S8 now comes in blushing Rose Pink (previously available only in Coral Blue, Maple Gold, Midnight Black and Orchid Gray) and will be available from 4 Nov at S$1,148. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 8 has been suited up in Deepsea Blue (previously available in Midnight Black, Maple Gold and Orchid Gray) and will retail from 11 Nov at S$1,398.
If you're feeling flush, you can spring for Samsung's new series of covers specially designed for the Note 8 too by independent brands like Anymore, Tumi, Kate Spade New York and Bugatti. These are priced from S$28 and will be available from 18 Nov at Samsung Experience stores and selected online retailers.
It's a pretty strategic move by Samsung to resurface its latest smartphone and phablet at a time when people might be considering a switch, thanks to a slew of exciting new releases (think the iPhone X, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro etc). For consumers, it also means one thing: deciding what new device to get now is going to be tougher than ever.
