The current buzz is that Samsung is currently working hard on a successor for the Samsung Z1 smartphone using Tizen OS.
The Samsung Z2 will apparently be fitted with a qHD TFT-LCD Display, a strong 32-bit quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a 2000mAh battery.
As to the release date, it's likely we'll see the phone in the first half of this year complete with the new Tizen 3.0 UI.
On a side note, Samsung is also working on a global Tizen smartphone, which will be sold in key strategic markets such as Korea, China, United States, EU and a few others. The Tizen smartphone is rumoured to feature a 4.8in 720p display, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP main camera and a 2600mAh battery.
Samsung’s Z1 has been doing reasonably well in the market especially in Bangladesh and India, but we'll have to see if Tizen will be a success elsewhere.
