The purported specs of the looming Samsung Galaxy S6 are finally out

Besides the rumour that the unofficial Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with a water pistol and a cigarette lighter (which, by the way, we highly doubt is true), nothing really concrete was revealed about the device.

Until now. A fresh set of leaks by SamMobile have indicated that the South Korean company will be building the device from scratch (thus the reason behind its Project Zero codename) to ensure that it’s the “best Galaxy S flagship we’ve seen yet”.

The source also received exclusive “insider information”, including information of Samsung’s sixth-generation Galaxy S flagship’s preliminary specifications.

Its screen might boast a Quad HD (2560 x 1440) display (although the actual screen size wasn’t mentioned). Details of the back snapper are yet to be decided too, although it’s a possibility we’ll see either a 16MP or 20MP camera on it. The front camera is said to be upgraded to a 5MP unit.

As for its insides, the S6 might come in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB internal storage variants, a brand new Exynos 7420 processor with a 64-bit chip and four Cortex-A53 and four Cortex-A57 cores. But the Galaxy S6 might also come in a Snapdragon variant, equipped with Snapdragon 810.

In addition, it might come with 3GB of RAM, and include Broadcom’s new BCM4773 chip (which basically combines GPS and a bunch of other sensors on a single chip), which will be a first in the industry if it’s true.

As a word of caution though, we’d advice you to take everything you read with a pinch of salt, since the rumours and the phone itself is in an early stage of development.
