Smart speakers that know just what kind of music you like and plays different music according to how many people you have over? Sounds cool yet creepy but that's what new Kickstarter project Prizm claims to do.
The little pyramid shaped speaker attachment (hence the name Prizm) just takes music from the cloud, namely from your Spotify, Deezer and Soundcloud accounts and relays them to your speakers.
Your own personal pocket DJ
Each day when you interact with Prizm's app, it gets to know what songs you like, basically learning your musical tastes. It won't just start playing "Come and Get Your Love" when you're about to turn in, but will tailor it according to the time of day and how many people you have over as well.
Thus, your playlist will differ widely between the music played as soon as you get up in the early morning or when you're having a house party and want it really loud.
Speaking about waking up, Prizm can be set to wake you up to a different song each day or learn to gradually go to sleep when you do. Pretty neat, if we do say so ourselves.
Seems Prizm is a cool concept for quite a few people seeing as its Kickstarter has already made twice its US$70,000 goal.
The Prizm will go for US$169 (S$220) but you can get it slightly cheaper by backing the Kickstarter.
