The fact that Asus has an event planned for 28 October in Japan may be getting some of you excited. The Taiwanese multinational company has been keeping itself busy in its rollout of tech goods and it’s not stopping now.
It most recently announced that its elegant Android Wear-running ZenWatch will be available in Singapore for S$299, in addition to making its CES 2014 unveiled ZenFone 5 and 6 smartphones official here.
But now, its Japan branch has released a handful of teaser images, indicating at a new ZenFone and a ZenWatch. We’re unable to confirm if the teaser snaps hint at a local launch for the products already released or a new set of them.
Let’s just hope Asus doesn’t dash our expectations with the latter and outs a new set of mobile devices. If that’s the case, we could be seeing a new variant of the ZenWatch, which could possibly sport the same set (or upgraded) specs as compared to the original ZenWatch.
The ZenWatch sports a 1.63in AMOLED display with a 320 x 320 pixel resolution (resulting in a 278ppi), in addition to a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a 1.2GHz CPU and 512MB of RAM, so we’re hoping that if there’s a new ZenWatch, it ups its game in the specs space.
As for the ZenFone unveil, rumours have indicated at the company crafting up a 5.5in ZenFone device, which is predicted to debut at CES 2015 but we’re secretly hoping Asus is already done with it and ready to bring it to market. We’ve got a week more to speculate what’s coming before Asus confirms it for us.
