Nokia unveils Nokia 6 and promises more to come February 26

The legendary mobile phone manufacturer to make big announcements at MWC 2017

Nokia has officially made its return into the smartphone market with the Nokia 6. This is the first Android-powered model unveiled by HMD Global, the Finnish company behind Nokia brand’s resurrection.

The 5.5-inch Nokia 6 boasts a Full-HD screen, fingerprint sensor, 16-megapixel camera, 4GB RAM and an aluminium finish, running on the latest version of Android Nougat.

While the phone will only be exclusive to China through JD.com, HMD Global, via the Nokia Mobile official Facebook page is teasing more announcements to follow on February 26.

This isn’t any random date however - it’s a day before the start of Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. It’s common for most companies to make their announcements early, and HMD Global does have a booth at the event.

So, what can we look forward to from HMD Global? It could be possible that the company will announce the Nokia 6’s availability outside of China, or it's more likely we’ll be seeing brand new Nokia phones.

Already there could be five to six Nokia phones in the pipeline, especially the rumoured Nokia E1. Or it could even be some of the phones rumoured here.

Stuff will be on hand at Mobile World Congress 2017 to keep you updated on the mysterious Nokia announcements, so bookmark our page to be first to know when the news hits.
