Think Pokémon Go is for kids? Well, if you're a horror fan, the app Night Terrors might be more your speed.
Night Terrors started from an Indiegogo project, so had a lot less publicity coming out. It's pretty much an augmented reality game but with a survival horror theme. According to developers Novum Analytics, the game "takes place at home, after dark, with the lights off and your headphones on."
What happens is that instead of cute Pokémon, the game will instead project scary sounds and ghostly images. It will also fake interference with your phone, sending you scary pictures and texts.
It's currently in beta at the moment and only working for iOS, with an Android version in the works. Development work has been delayed due to funding issues so the game might release a lot later than horror fans might like.
The game's demo is set to be released on the App Store soon so look out for it under Night Terrors: The Beginning, which will be a US$0.99 (S$1.28) download.
