More leaks surrounding the HTC One (M9) have been revealed, and we’ve got a feeling the device is set to make its grand entrance in the coming months. The only problem? Some of the rumours don’t tally with previous ones.
Chinese site, MyDrivers, recently reported the specifications of the purported device, bringing much confusion as to which of the specs really belong to the HTC One (M9).
For now, the biggest question is targeted at the handset's display. It's now said to have a 5.5in, 2560 x 1440 display, unlike IBTimes' earlier report of the device sporting a 5.2in device.
The new rumour, however, is still sticking to the same 2K display resolution. It’s also tipped to have 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 805 chipset, and a 3500mAh battery. All of which match that of IBTimes.
Interestingly, MyDrivers claims the smartphone might feature a 16MP back camera with optical image stabilisation, resulting in the possibility of it canning the UltraPixel hardware.
It also highlighted the possibility of HTC finding a different audio partner for the smartphone, most likely Bose, since Apple’s purchased Beats. This, however, needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt, since HTC has been using its BoomSound audio enhancer to give its speakers the extra punch.
Apparently there’s a Prime version of the smartphone in the works too but besides just a name, no other details were spared. Sources say we can expect more details to emerge in the days leading up to Mobile World Congress in early March, so stay tuned.
