The novelty of Snapchat has yet to wear off, so who can blame the makers of new app Msty from trying to cash in? The app promises to combine the best bits of Spotify and Snapchat to let people send songs to each other.
Users will have a catalogue of 2,000 songs to choose from that Msty managed to wangle by negotiating with Apple Music, Universal, Sony and Warner.
The app's name is a cute play on the sentence "My song to you" - but will it be cute enough to get people to want to send songs to each other on a regular basis? There are far too many messaging apps out there. As of now, the company has yet to reveal just how it plans to make money from the free app/
