Xiaomi's Mi 4C has been confirmed for Sept 22 and its design will be very similar to the Mi 4i. But the specs apparently will be slightly higher.
Xiaomi co-founder and president Bin Lin had mentioned the Mi4C earlier and the phone is set to have a 5-inch 1920x1080 pixel display, with a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core porcessor. There will be two variants, one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while the other has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The 16GB model will retail for US$235 while the price of the higher-spec variant has yet to be announced.
The camera will remain the same as the Mi 4i - namely a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front sensor. Other features include dual-band 802.11ac WiFi, LTE, and first for a Xiaomi device, USB Type-C.
As to availability, the phone is expected to start shipping on Oct 3 with preorders likely available before then.
