Meitu is known for its slightly weird selfie apps, but has also came up with its own range of smartphones. It earlier launched its M8 phone with Sailor Moon and Hello Kitty editions, but this time it's added two more limited editions for the upcoming M8s phone.
Besides Hello Kitty and Sailor Moon, the phones will also come in a Doraemon as well as a Dragon Ball Z edition. All will come with 128GB storage as opposed to the standard model's 64GB. The Hello Kitty and Sailor Moon phones will have custom selfie sticks, while the other two versions will get custom power banks and custom selfie remotes.
As for the specs, the phones will have dual front facing cameras with dual pixel technology, one of the sensors being a Sony IMX362 with OS and PDAF. So expect nice portrait photos as well as bokeh. Apart from that there's a 5.2in Full HD AMOLED display, Helio X27 processor as well as 4GB of RAM.
The rear camera might follow the M8's 21MP with two LED flashes as the M8s is basically an upgrade. Also expect a Hi-Fi chip and 3100mAh battery. As for pricing, the base model is selling for RMB2399 (S$495) in green and pink and the limited editions for RMB3399 (S$700). The phone will start selling 26 October.
