Attention online shoppers! Leading e-commerce sites Lazada and Redmart have just launched a new lifestyle membership programme called LiveUp.

It all sounds pretty good but does come with its fair share of asterisks and sneaky fine print T&Cs. UberEats deals would only appeal to very specific groups - big buyers who order several times a month. Netflix is only completely free for the first two months, and the subsequent four months if you start paying for Live Up. Do take note that after this grace period, Netflix will be charged at full price, which means this is more of a short-term incentive.

Clearly, the LiveUp package is all about the e-commerce sites. If you shop online most of the time, having free shipping for all orders will make up for the S$28.80 fee quite quickly, but there’s another catch here: annual fees will be bumped up to its standard S$49.90 a year once the promotion ends. That’s a hefty price and quite a commitment – something to consider carefully before diving in.
