LG Lifeband Touch and heartbeat-monitoring earphones land at CES

LG joins the battle for the coveted space on your wrist [updated with video]

LG has revealed the previously leaked Lifeband Touch – a fitness band with a swipeable OLED display that shows off how many calories you’ve burnt along with steps taken and other fitness information.

It works with both iOS and Android devices, allowing you to receive and check notifications via Bluetooth 4.0 without having to slip your smartphone out of your pocket, but you’ll need to fork out for LG’s Hear Rate Monitor earphones if you want it to reach its full potential.

In addition to pumping music into your hears, LG’s clever buds can also measure your heartbeat by measuring signals from inside your ear.

There’s no release date or pricing information available at the moment, but we’ll be sure to update you with all the info as soon as we have it.
