Lenovo’s Tab 4 range is the MPV of tablets

Business suit for the day, romper suit for the night

Tablets, right? Old news. But actually, it’s not that you prefer using your phone, it’s just that you’re in the habit of using it to do things for which a tablet is better suited. Shopping and watching TV are both easier on a big screen. A kid given a tablet to play with can do way less harm than with your work phone. And that brings us to Lenovo’s Tab 4 range, which comes in 8in or 10in sizes starting at just €169, with higher-spec ‘Plus’ versions. You can get a Kid’s Pack, with a rubber case, screen protector and stickers, and/or a Productivity Pack that has a Bluetooth keyboard but, sadly, no stickers.

About

Fraser used to wear a Psion Series 3 palmtop in a shoulder holster. Perhaps he still does.Either way, his lifelong mission - including fourteen years for Stuff - has been to see whether the consumer electronics industry can ever replicate that kind of cyborgian joy.So far: nope. Despite a plan to combine a action camera and Olympus Eye-Trek goggles to become Man Who Sees The Vision Of A Man Three Inches Taller Than Himself. He also likes mountain bikes, motorbikes, cars, helicopters. Still thinks virtual surround is witchcraft. Dislikes jetskis, despite never having been on one.
