Good old Weibo just leaked what looks to be the upcoming Honor 9 box, hinting at the new dual-camera setup.
UPDATE 12/6/2017: According to Androidheadlines, the latest Weibo leak confirms the dual-camera specs. So it will be a 12MP+20MP rear camera setup, similar to what is on Huawei's P10. Notable is the Kirin 960 chipset as well as the generous 6GB of RAM, more than the P10's 4GB.
Also featured will be a 2.5D glass display, with rumours saying it will have a Full HD resolution. The battery is also expected to be 3100mAh and the phone will run on Android 7.0.
Double the fun
The phone is due to launch 12 June so we expect more pictures to come out of the phone, this being just the beginning.
What is in the picture is the box for the smartphone which may or may not give hints as to the real deal.
As to what to expect, the rear camera is said to feature a 20MP primary sensor, with a secondary 12MP sensor (likely to be wide-angle). The coariombo would give the phone an edge when it comes to focusing on various objects in the distance.
Apparently the two cameras will be located on the top-left of the back of the smartphone, in a horizontal arrangement with a dual-LED flash. If the leaks are true then it would mean that the new lens are (as should be) an upgrade to the last Honor 8's setup.
We'll keep you updated once full details and pricing of the Honor 9 is revealed. The phone will also likely be official in the region in the weeks to follow so stay tuned.
