The Chinese telcos are already putting out pre-orders for the alleged smartphone
The iPhone 6 goes on sale in China, AGAIN!

Just days ago one of Apple’s largest telco partners, China Telecom, let leak details of the upcoming iPhone 6 on its Weibo account by putting out a promo poster of the purported device.

And now, the telco has gone a step further and launched pre-orders in the country. But, it’s not the only one to do so. According to China Daily, Chinese carrier, China Mobile Beijing is also accepting pre-orders of the iPhone 6 even though Tim Cook’s yet to walk out on stage holding the device in all its glory.

Both China Mobile Beijing and China Telecom have since taken down their pre-order pages, but not before they revealed a few key details of what we can expect from it.

The image from the China Telecom leak show what we’ve been seeing in a bunch of rumours all along – you’ve got the same redesigned buttons, curved edges, and a 4.7in and 5.5in larger units. You will most likely have an option between black, silver, or gold like the iPhone 5S (but you already know that).

Know the unknown

What you probably didn’t know is that the iPhone 6 is said to come with a 3MP front-facing snapper, a “better” Touch ID home button, a sharper display of 416 pixels per inch, as well as an A8 processor.

No pricing details were revealed in China Telecom’s leak. Unfortunately (or fortunately for you), ZDNet claimed China Unicom leaked these details. Apparently, the smaller sized iPhone 6 will cost about S$861, while the bigger unit (claimed to be called the iPhone 6 Pro) will be priced at S$1024 without any contract.

How true these rumours are, we won’t know until 9 September. Don’t worry, we’ll be confirming these rumours and more live from Cupertino, so follow us on our Stuff_SG Twitter account.

Apple's hired a new creative

Apple has most recently named Aussie born designer, Marc Newson, as one of its latest creatives. Newson will work under Apple's design guru and friend, Jony Ive. Although, he'll continue living in London and make frequent trips to Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Given that Newson's designs are out of the ordinary, it may be too early to see them on the devices to be launched on 9 September, but we'll be rooting for them on the iPhone 6S.
