You must have walked into a flagship store at least once to check out a vendor’s latest gadgets before you decide on buying one for yourself.
And Huawei’s joined the list of mobile manufacturers to open a flagship store on our little red dot, but unlike the experience you’d normally receive in these other stores, Huawei promises to keep you entertained.
What we mean by that is its concept store is decked with stations that revolve around the themes of work, play, and home. Of course, there are the usual showcases of technology set up, but this takes it a step further by showing how integrated they can be in your lives.
The experience starts when you walk in
As you enter, there’s a touchscreen wall (they call it a digital library) that guides you through how you can integrate smart mobility into your work, play, and home – the three most important elements of your life.
When you walk into the store, you’ll see a bunch of stations equipped and connected to its newly launched Ascend Mate7 smartphone. For play, there’s a cage with smart toys (read Parrot drones) that you’ll be able to control with the flagship smartphone.
There’s even a selfie corner for those of you who can’t get enough of taking selfies/wefies. Huawei's put up an interactive wall with changing wallpapers – there are about 40 different backgrounds that you can choose from.
Moving on to the smart home, with the use of an app the Ascend Mate7 controls switches in your home, such as lights, as well as your smart entertainment unit.
Its uses don't just stop there – you’ll be able to check on your health when paired with a smart weighing scale, or equipment that measures your other health conditions.
As for work, it showcases a teleconferencing system that connects to the Ascend Mate7, which you can use regardless of if you’re at home or at work. There’s even a fleet management system that shows you how you can track vehicles or the whereabouts of your staff.
“We want to bring the element of lifestyle to our consumers. You can touch, and feel and experience it within the store itself. A lifestyle cannot be delivered by one brand itself, but instead, by many that come together,” Huawei device's Singapore country head, Low Han Thong, said.
The Huawei flagship concept store will officially be open to the public as of 15 November, at 9.30am. It is located at #03-78 Plaza Singapura so head down and see what Huawei’s got in store for you.
